Description

A delightful and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken meatballs infused with sesame oil and served over fluffy rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 cup jasmine rice (or preferred rice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and panko. Mix until just combined and form into meatballs.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat, add a splash of sesame oil, and sear the meatballs until golden brown for 8-10 minutes.
  3. Boil rice according to package instructions, using chicken broth if desired for more flavor.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds, then add soy sauce and sugar to create a glaze.
  5. Place cooked meatballs on a bowl of rice and drizzle with glaze.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, serve warm.

Notes

Serve with a side of stir-fried greens or pickled veggies for added crunch and flavor.
