Description

A tender and flavorful lamb shoulder glazed with rosemary and garlic, perfect for family gatherings and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (4-5 lb) Lamb Shoulder
  • 4 sprigs Fresh Rosemary, chopped
  • 6 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp Honey or Maple Syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the garlic and rosemary mixture generously all over the lamb shoulder.
  4. In a large skillet, heat a splash of olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the lamb on all sides until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the lamb to a roasting pan and pour any remaining marinade over the top.
  6. Bake covered for 3 to 4 hours, basting every hour. Remove the foil during the last 30 minutes.
  7. Once the lamb reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C), let it rest for about 15 minutes before slicing.
  8. Serve with your favorite gravy and side dishes.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the lamb the night before. Pair with garlic mashed potatoes or a salad.
