Ingredients

  • 1 oz pomegranate juice
  • 1 oz orange liqueur
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • Juice of half a lime

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients and squeeze fresh pomegranates or use store-bought juice.
  2. Make the simple syrup by combining equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan over heat until dissolved; allow to cool.
  3. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine vodka, pomegranate juice, orange liqueur, simple syrup, and lime juice.
  4. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill and combine the mixture.
  5. Strain into a chilled martini glass using a fine mesh strainer.
  6. Garnish with a twist of lime or a pomegranate seed.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, use soda water or additional pomegranate juice instead of vodka and orange liqueur.
