- 1 wheel of Brie cheese
- 1 package of puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup unsalted pistachios, chopped
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary), optional
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a triangle or Christmas tree shape.
- Spread the softened Brie on the pastry, leaving a border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the chopped pistachios and dried cranberries over the Brie, then drizzle with honey or maple syrup.
- Fold the edges of the pastry towards the center to enclose the filling and shape it into a Christmas tree.
- Cut slits into the sides to create branches.
- Brush the top with the egg wash.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffy.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving with crackers or fresh fruit.
Notes
For a different flavor, you can substitute Brie with soft goat cheese and walnuts for pistachios. Best served warm.
