- 4–5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (or coconut oil)
- 1–2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- Juice of 1/2 lemon or lime
- Fresh parsley or green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Prep the shrimp: Rinse shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- Sauté garlic: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Cook shrimp: Add shrimp in a single layer, cooking for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
- Add the sweetness: Drizzle in honey or brown sugar, soy sauce, and lemon/lime juice. Toss to coat shrimp evenly.
- Finish cooking: Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until shrimp are fully cooked.
- Garnish and serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with parsley or green onions. Serve immediately with rice or salad.
Notes
Taste as you go and adjust sweetness or seasoning to your preference. Don’t overcrowd the pan for optimal sear.
