- Ghost decorations (candy eyes or similar)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour your cake pans.
- Cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together cake flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Gradually add to wet ingredients, alternating with milk, until smooth.
- Fold in chocolate chips gently until evenly distributed.
- Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Icing with white icing and decorate with candy eyes and sprinkles before serving.
Notes
For substitutions, consider using all-purpose flour or coconut oil. For an egg-free version, mashed bananas or unsweetened applesauce can work as replacements.
