Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Toasted Pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Toffee Bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the flour and salt, mixing on low until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped pecans.
  4. Spread the shortbread mixture into the lined baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are golden.
  5. Melt the toffee bits and chocolate chips together in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  6. Pour the chocolate mixture over the baked shortbread and sprinkle with extra pecans.
  7. Return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes, then cool before slicing into bars.
