Ingredients

- 1 cup Unsalted Butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Toasted Pecans, chopped
- 1 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1 cup Toffee Bits
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the flour and salt, mixing on low until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped pecans.
- Spread the shortbread mixture into the lined baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are golden.
- Melt the toffee bits and chocolate chips together in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the baked shortbread and sprinkle with extra pecans.
- Return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes, then cool before slicing into bars.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use a gluten-free flour blend. Store leftovers layered with parchment paper in an airtight container.
