- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: sea salt flakes, crushed nuts for topping
Instructions
- Grease an 8-inch square baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, unsalted butter, and butterscotch chips. Stir constantly until melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in brewed coffee and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading evenly. Sprinkle with sea salt and/or crushed nuts if desired.
- Allow to cool at room temperature for 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
- Lift the fudge out using the parchment overhang and cut into squares.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
Notes
Use low heat to prevent burning and stir constantly for a smooth fudge texture. Allow cooling completely before cutting for even pieces.
